Auditing Student Course

Auditing Student Course
Applications for auditing students are accepted when there are available seats in regular student classes or when a suitable class can accept additional students after the course has started.

Capacity

  • Applications are accepted only when regular student classes have available seats.
  • Applications may also be accepted after classes begin if there is a class available for placement.

Study Period

  • Students may study for any period of 4 weeks or longer, 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, in either morning or afternoon classes.
  • Students may not attend multiple classes at the same time.
  • Unexcused absences and lateness are not permitted, as with regular students.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a visa status other than Student, such as Dependent or Permanent Resident.

Application Documents

  • Application form designated by the school
  • Immigration history declaration form designated by the school
  • Passport (to be presented)
  • Residence card (to be presented)
  • Two photos [4 cm × 3 cm], including one attached to the application form

Additional documents may be required in some cases.

Screening Method

Selection is based on application documents and an interview with the applicant at the time of application.

※ A Textbooks are purchased separately at actual cost. Approx. 33,000 yen per year.

Consultation for Private Lessons

Applicants who cannot join a regular class may consult with the school about private lessons until they can be placed in a suitable class. The admission fee is waived for private lessons.

Tuition for private lessons is 4,400 yen per 45-minute lesson.

Other Notes

  • After payment, the application screening fee and admission fee cannot be refunded if the applicant withdraws from enrollment.
  • After classes begin, tuition cannot be refunded for any reason.
  • Students with excessive absences or lateness may be refused continued attendance during the course period.
  • When ending auditing, students must notify both the homeroom teacher and the office.
  • If a student is absent without notice for one month or more, or if tuition payment is overdue, the auditing status will be regarded as terminated.
  • Student ID cards, diplomas, transcripts, recommendation letters, and other certificates cannot be issued.
